The Genesis featured posts widget doesn’t include any filters which enable you to modify the default code for the byline which is also referred to as the post info or entry meta in the entry header. The only option you have is to create a custom version of the widget and modify the code in the widget or find an extended version of the widget which includes settings to change the position of the byline.
What i have done is update the Featured Posts Pro widget for Genesis. This widget now includes settings which enable you to change the position of the byline entry meta known as the post info.
You can now reposition the posts author, comments link & post date from after the title to before the title and after the content.
This is in addition to also repositioning the featured image before or after the entry title and after the entry content.
Post Info Shortcodes
You can also remove default shortcodes from the widget settings and add custom shortcodes.
