I’ve tried using many different web servers to host my blogs and as a consequence currently own 3 different packages with 2 providers.

In the process of moving my WordPress sites to a new server, i have already used up the free transfer service Hostgator offer on my largest WordPress installation.

If you’re in a similar situation yourself, you’ll find these migration solutions helpful.

There’s different ways of migrating WordPress to a new server which are:

  1. Use a backup plugin to transfer WordPress over to the new server
  2. Manually moving WordPress to a new host or server
  3. Using a paid site move service to transfer WordPress to a new server
  4. Using a free transfer service like what Hostgator offers

List of Ways to Migrate WordPress to a New Server

You’ll also find more information on moving WordPress to a new server, domain and web host in the site move category.

I think that covers all bases when it comes to migrating WordPress to a new server. What do you think?
