Learn PHP Code

This is a beginners guide to learning how to modify, write & use PHP code in WordPress themes.

The series is focused on explaining the most commonly used PHP functions you can use in WordPress themes.

Each post in the series includes a video walk thru which tests all the code snippet examples on each post and explains how they work and how you can modify them.

The code is tested in various StudioPress child themes and the course is focused on Genesis framework users.

Minimum Experience With Code Requirement

If you’re just starting out with WordPress and never even copied & pasted PHP code before, this course is probably not for you.

If you want to learn CSS or need help with CSS in your theme, i suggest you try the StudioPress community forums.

If you have a minimum of 6-12 months experience copying & pasting code as well as some idea of how to modify PHP code at the absolute beginner level ( Like Changing hooks & conditional tags ) and want to learn more, join WP Sites and you’ll be able to get answers to questions when you get stuck.

Members also get access to all premium tutorials as well as support for all existing PHP code on wpsites.net.

What WordPress PHP Functions Will I Learn More About

Check out the PHP Code category archive page which lists all posts in the Learn PHP Code series.

The course is currently free to access however questions can only be asked by members of WP Sites who will also receive answers.
