Genesis Featured Posts Widget – Entry Title Before Featured Image

The Genesis featured posts widget displays the featured image before the title by default. If you want to reposition the image after the title, you’d generally need to either:

1. Change the code in the widget or
2. Find a extended version of the widget which includes the option to add the featured image after the title in the plugin settings.

Nows there’s a 3rd solution to choose from exclusively for members of WP Sites.

The 3rd solution can be used in your child themes functions file and only requires a few lines of code.

Here’s the result in this lovely screenshot showing the featured posts widget displaying the title before the featured image:

Nothing special as far as the result however the method is unique and highly flexible.
