This tutorial relates to adding a package in WHM for new VPS users. WHM – Web Hosting Manager is like a master control panel for resellers of hosting and comes with most VPS hosting plans.
When you create a package using WHM control panel, you can then use it for your own hosting needs or other accounts like resellers do with VPS.
Create Custom Package For Your Primary Domain
Lets create a custom package with limits and settings we need for our primary domain.
Use the WHM URL link provided in the New Account info email you recieve once your VPS account has been approved. Looks a bit like this:
Since you have chosen to install cPanel on your server, your information is below: WHM Address: Username: root Password: abc123456xyz cPanel License ID: 1098765
Login to WHM using the Username and Password in the same email and click on Packages in the Home screen.
Next, Click Add a Package
Enter a name for your hosting package and change the Resource settings for Qouta and Bandwith to unlimited
Also change the Max Parked & Max Addon Domains to unlimited
If you are using a Dedicated I.P address you can check that field as well. Click the Add button and your package has been created.
