Installing WordPress is easy enough but what if you want to add a blog to an existing website? What if your website isn’t WordPress?
You could install WordPress manually in a second level directory on your server if you know what you are doing but what if your not technically minded?

No benefit in using another domain for your blog as this won’t help your existing website nearly as much as installing a blog on your existing websites domain.
If you own an existing website and don’t have a blog or your blog is installed on another domain, it would be wise to consider transferring it to your main website domain.
