Color Picker To Style Post Meta

The code in this download folder produces exactly the same result as this tutorial without the need to use a plugin like ACF or add CSS.

You can use this code to add a color picker to your edit category screen and style any element on any page types including, posts, pages, taxonomy pages and your home or blog page ( posts page ).

Shows the color picker added to the Edit Category screen and used to style the post meta category links on all page types.

tested using the Genesis Sample child theme however will work in any WordPress theme if you change the Genesis hook to a WordPress or theme specific hook.

Installation Steps

There’s 2 steps :

1. # Copy & paste the PHP code from the functions.php file ( without the opening PHP tag ) to the end of your child themes functions file.

 


2. # On your edit Category screen, use the color picker to set your category color.
