Editing WordPress Comment Links

How do you really know if your blog post comments are sincere and genuine?

In my opinion, its hard to tell sometimes which comments i should be approving and which should be marked as spam and deleted.

Rather than delete suspected spam comments that you’re not totally sure about, there’s another solution.

Quick Edit Comments

In your comments page you can easily find the quick edit link and open each comment fully.

Quick Edit Comments

Here you can remove the URL if you need to.

Delete Comment Link

Generally, i only leave the link if the comment adds value to the content of the post.

Edit Comments

Here you can delete the comment authors link if needed.

Rather than mark the comment as spam and delete it, you may consider giving the author the benefit of the doubt and simply removing the link.

By default, WordPress comments are no follow anyway however you can remove the no follow attribute if you want to allow the search engines to follow the link back to the authors site.

How do you manage comment links? Do you remove the no follow attribute or edit each comment link?
