You can disallow people from posting new comments using the native WordPress Discussion settings however this doesn’t remove the comment form.
Because of this, comment spam bots will still try and submit comments which may annoy some people.
If you want to completely remove the comment form template from posts and/or pages, you can.
Simply paste one of these PHP code snippets at the end of your child themes functions.php file.
