Custom Sidebar for Custom Layout in Genesis

This tutorial provides the code which adds a custom sidebar widget area to this existing tutorial which shows you how to create a custom layout setting in any StudioPress child theme.

Once you’ve created a custom layout setting, you can then add the following PHP code to the end of your child themes functions file using a code editor.

The code creates a new sidebar which only displays on the pages or posts which you set with your custom layout.
