This tutorial enables you to add more widget areas to the front page of the Altitude Pro child theme by StudioPress. In this example, we’ll add a front-page-8 and front-page-9 to the themes front-page.php file.
Note : The solution used in this tutorial is 1 of 2 different methods you can use which both achieve the same result.
The front page 8 widget area will be a solid section and the front page 9 a image section where you can set a default in the images folder and change the image via the WordPress customizer.
