Academy Pro Remove Close Link From Top Banner

This solution enables you to remove the close X from the top banner modify the jQuery to customize the top banner text & add jQuery effects.

In this case, we’ll remove the close banner X link and remove half the jQuery which isn’t required now the close link is gone.

Here’s the result after the modifications to the PHP & jQuery :

Code Installation

Only the 1st step is required however you may also want to remove the jQuery & CSS for the close link and js http browser expiry cookie.

There’s 3 steps :

Step 1 : Replace the PHP code between lines 517 – 536 in functions.php with the code in the functions file from the download folder.

Step 2 ( Optional ) : Delete the top-banner.js file from the Academy Pro themes js folder and replace it with the top-banner.js file from the download folder.
