Author Pro Featured Books Widget In Unlimited Rows

This solution enables you to add unlimited rows of featured books widgets to the Author Pro front page 2 widget area as seen in the following screenshot :

By default, the front page widgets in Author Pro are coded using CSS for flexible widgets which change the layout of widgets based on how many are added to each widget area. This controls how many columns are used.

The code in this tutorial sets the amount of columns enabling you to display any amount of featured books widgets in any amount of columns including even and uneven columns.

Shows 8 featured books widgets displaying in 4 columns on desktop and 1 – 2 columns on smaller screens.

Tested using the Author Pro child theme by StudioPress.

Installation Steps

There’s 2 steps :

1. # Upload the front-page.php file replacing the default front page template.

 


2. # Copy & paste the CSS from the style.css file to the end of your Author Pro themes style sheet and clear caching.
