Add Image Before Entry Titles On All Archive Page Types

This code adds a image before all archive page type entry titles like this :

You can add your image via Customize > Before Title Image and also add a default image named default.png in your child themes image folder.

Shows the image added via the customizer displaying before the entry title on all archive page types including category, tag and author archives.

Tested using the Infinity Pro child theme by StudioPress however will work in any Genesis child theme.

Installation Steps

There’s 3 steps :

1. # Copy & paste the PHP code ( without the opening PHP tag ) from the functions.php file to the end of your child themes functions file.

 


2. # Upload your fallback image named default.png to your child themes images folder.

 


3. # Copy and paste the CSS from the style.css file to the end of your child themes style sheet and clear caching.
