This block plugin enables you to load smooth scroll on a per post or page basis. It adds 1 setting to the right sidebar Post tab immediately before the categories and tags settings. When toggle on, smooth scroll is added to your links.
Smooth scroll works with the list block and heading block.
Setup Steps
After installation and activation of the plugin, follow these steps :
- Insert the heading block within your editor
- In the right sidebar Block tab, scroll down to HTML Anchor and add a anchor id. Enter a word or two — without spaces — to make a unique web address just for this block, called an “anchor”. Then, you’ll be able to link directly to this section of your page.
- At the start of your page, create a link or use the list block to create links to different anchor points on your page. Add the anchor id as a link to your links.
In this example, our link is named text and the anchor name or id added as a link to the text is #text.

You need to do this for each heading you want linked.
Once you’ve setup your anchors and links, you need to activate smooth scroll on the post tab of the right sidebar.

You can also make it work with your own links without using the list and/or heading block.
