How To Add A Help Text Widget For WP Admin Notices

In this post, i’ll give you the PHP code which registers a new widget area, when populated, displays the content on a specific admin page(s).

Here’s what i’m talking about:

Help Text Widget

The above screenshot shows a text notice before all single custom post type pages are displayed in the backend of WordPress.

I’ll also provide the code which works with Genesis and any other theme. First Genesis.

Please copy ALL the code from the view raw link and paste it at the end of your child themes functions.php file using a text editor like Notepad++
