Add Widget Before Loop On First Page of Custom Blog Page Template in Genesis

This code enables you to create a custom blog page template which you simply name page_blog.php and upload to the root directory of your child themes folder.

Then you can paste the code to register the widget labelled functions.php in your child themes file of the same name.

The template includes a widget which only outputs the widget content on the 1st page if your blog page.
