Custom Flexible Mobile Responsive Footer Widget Columns for Genesis

This code enables you to very easily add custom footer widgets in 2,3,4,5 or 6 columns using Genesis.

Here’s an example using 3 columns:

Normally in Genesis, all you need to do to add footer widgets is to add the following PHP code to your child themes functions file and some CSS to your style sheet:

add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );

Some child themes like Digital Pro & News Pro have modified the CSS in which case you can either modify the CSS back to the default included in Genesis or use the method below.

The solution in this tutorial uses the built in CSS ( from Bootstrap ) included in Genesis.
