Monochrome Pro – Add Featured or Hero Image After Header On 404 Error Pages Using ACF

This download folder includes the files which enable you to show a featured or custom image added using ACF, after the header in the same style as displayed on single posts on your 404 error page like this :

If ACF is inactive, the featured image or previously uploaded ACF image will display.

Shows a unique image added after the header on the 404 error page template using the ACF image upload field.

Also shows the image continues to display when the ACF plugin is deactivated otherwise the featured image displays if added.

Code Installation #

There’s 3 steps :

Step 1 – Create a new ACF field using the following settings or Install ACF and import the .json file from the download folder.

Step 2 – Upload the file named 404.php to the Monochrome Pro themes root directory.
