How To Find Out What Your Site Visitors Search For On Your WordPress Blog

Search Meter Plugin for WordPressIf you are using the default WordPress search box you can find out what search terms your readers type into the box on your site.

This way you can get some ideas for writing more content that’s useful to your site visitors.

Search meter is a free plugin for tracking what your readers are searching for on your WordPress blog.

It records the keywords they typed into your search box and whether or not they found what they where searching for.

You should already know that Google Analytics, Google webmaster tools and other tracking systems like Jetpack display which keywords are used to arrive at your site.

Search meter doesn’t give you this information as it only tracks and records the words typed into your sites search box and the links your readers clicked on.

If your site is covering a particular niche, this is a great way to find out what content your readers where unable to find on your site and add it next time.

Note: The default search box for WordPress isn’t very accurate so i suggest you try Google custom search or the Relevansi plugin.

However, you will not be able to use the search meter plugin with Google custom search.
