2 Ways To Add A Text Description Below Featured Images in Genesis

This tutorial provides several solutions which enable you to add content after featured images on archive pages.

1. In this example, the excerpt is added after the featured image on the portfolio CPT archive page using the Executive Pro child theme by StudioPress.

All you need to do is add the code to your archive-portfolio.php code, or any other type of archive file and then add your content to the Excerpts meta box on the single Edit Page/Post screen like this:

2. The 2nd method enables you to add your content to the caption feild when you add each featured image to the single Edit Page/Post screen.

Which then displays your caption description below the image like this:
