Add More Widget Areas for Solid & Image Sections To Cafe Pro Front Page

This tutorial shows you how to replicate widget areas for both solid and image sections in the Cafe Pro themes front page template.

Demo Video

The 2 new widget areas are named front page 5 and front page 6.

Front page 5 is the same as front page 1 and uses the existing solid-section class for styling.

Front page 6 is the same as front page 2 and uses the existing image-section class for styling. This new image section also enables you to add a unique background image using the WordPress customizer. You can also add a default background image to your child themes images folder.

    Thanks for the great tutorial! Lines were quite a bit different and I was not able to find the code that needed to be added for page 6 (line 1773) anywhere in our style.css, but my admittedly very uneducated guess is the version of Cafe Pro we are running, had that changed to “odd” and “even”? Either way, it worked perfectly! 🙂
