Add Responsive Slider To Front Page 1 Widget Background In Wellness Pro

This tutorial provides the code and 2 simple steps which enable you to replace the front page 1 widget background image with a slider show in the Wellness Pro child theme by StudioPress.

All you need to do is upload the folder named slideshow to the Wellness Pro themes root directory and copy & paste the PHP code from functions file into the Wellness Pro themes functions file.

Once you’ve done that, you can swap out the links to the slideshows images in the slideshow > slideshow-settings.js file with links to your own slide show images.

Hello! Is there a way to do this without the text box in the middle? Or maybe a text box that varies with each sliding image?

You could add a empty text widget to front page 1 and use captions for each image

Hi Brad, thank you so much for this – so cool! I am so glad I got it working!

I tried adding an empty text widget to front page 1 and use captions for each image but it doesn’t work. Is there a way to add different text to each sliding image?

        Thank you again.

I wouldn’t use this solution if you want captions as this solution is designed to display the slides behind the front page 1 widget content. If you want to use different content for each slide, i suggest you use a different solution like this.
