This code contains 2 snippets which enable you to add a title and description to:
- A custom archive page template for a custom post type
- A custom page template for a archive, category, tag or any other type of archive page template.
The snippets enable you to hard code the text for your title and description or intro text as its called for category archives.
If your site includes a CPT or custom taxonomy type archive generated by a plugin this solution works well.
Note:If you’re using the CPT code in Genesis, there’s no need to use this solution. Its only for hand coding into templates which don’t enable access to edit the archive.
