This archive template overlays content when the featured image is hovered.
You can display any content on hover including :
- The single post or single custom post type entry title
- A value from a custom field
- The featured image title
- The featured image caption
- The featured image alt text
- The featured image description
- Any other text you like

Shows how you can display the entry title, image description or image caption on hover. Also shows the entries displayed in 3 columns and a single column on smaller screens.
You can use this template on any archive page type including category, blog page, custom post type & custom taxonomy type archive page templates.
This template will also work with the Genesis Portfolio Pro plugin and enables you to display entries in 2, 3, 4 or 6 columns.
Template Installation
There’s 2 steps which relate to the use of the code inside the download folder :
Step 1 : Upload the template to your child themes root directory and named the file according to the WordPress Template Hierarchy so the template loads on the archive page according to the template file name.
Step 2 : Copy & paste the CSS from the style.css file to the end of your child themes style sheet and clear caching.
Tested using the Genesis Sample child theme however should work fine in other Genesis child themes.
