Change Author Pro Featured Image Size For Single Books

This solution enables you to change the featured image size used to display the book covers in the Author Pro child theme by StudioPress.

Once you do that, you can use CSS to modify the default styling and position your book images correctly on the single book page and archives.

In this example, we’ll change the image size from the default to 850px width by 1100px in height.

Here’s the default image size on the left and the modified size on the right.

Shows the default image size for the featured image on the single books page and then the modified size scaling down when the screen decreases in size and scaling up.

In this example a max-width of 550px is set for the featured image however you can remove this line of CSS if you want the full width of your image displayed on large screen widths.

Installation Steps

There’s 3 steps :

1. # Copy & paste the PHP code ( without the opening PHP tag ) from the functions.php file to the end of your Author Pro themes functions file.

 



2. # Copy & paste the CSS to the end of the Author Pro themes style.css file and clear caching.

 



3. # Regenerate thumbnails or upload new featured images to each single book Edit Book screen.
