How To Replace Background Image On Monochrome Pro With Fully Responsive Slider

This question comes from a member of the StudioPress community forums :

How do I replace background image on Monochrome Pro with fully responsive slider.

I am currently designing a site with Monochrome Pro genesis child theme for a client who would like the .front-page-1 image background replaced with slides that are responsive. Does anyone have some suggestions how how best to achieve this?

There’s different methods you can use to add a slider behind the front page 1 widget areas in Monochrome Pro.

Here’s what the solution in this tutorial for members produces:

Code installation

There’s 3 steps you need to take to install the slider code after you download the zipped folder for logged in members below:

Step 1 : Upload the slideshow folder to the Monochrome Pro theme folder.

Step 2 : Copy & paste the PHP code from the functions.php file in the download folder to the end of the Monochrome Pro themes functions.php.
