Minimum Pro Different Backstretch Images

This tutorial shows you how to display different backstretch images using the Minimum Pro theme by StudioPress. By default, the theme only shows 1 image on the front page which uses the body class and displays after the header.

You can replicate this functionality on all single posts, single pages and all archive type pages using custom code.

Lets take a look at the demo video which shows you the result:

I use the Minimum Pro theme and I’d like to change the backstretch-background image to have a different one on each page.

The above code isn’t working for me. No image is loading (neither from $single or $fallback) and I have set a custom field background image on the page.

I can only get an image to display by reverting back to using the original code from front-page.php in functions.php, but this doesn’t allow for the use of multiple images.

Update – Code updated and retested.
