Replace Genesis Block Background Image With Video On Monochrome Pro Front Page

For use with the Monochrome Pro child theme for Genesis, this tutorial provides the code which enables you to replace the background image in the first block on the front page to a video added using the customizer.

Shows the video added via the customizer display behind the first block section on the front page of the Monochrome Pro child theme by StudioPress.

When the video is added, the first block section on the front page is hidden and replaced with content added to the video widget.

Installation Steps

There’s 3 steps :

1. # Upload the customize.php file inside your Monochrome Pro themes lib folder replacing the default customize.php file.

 


2. # Copy & paste the PHP code ( without the opening PHP tag ) from the functions.php to the end of your Monochrome Pro themes functions file.

 


3. # Upload the style-front.css file to your Monochrome Pro theme folder like this :
