Site Title & Description Before Header Image In Genesis

The solution in this tutorial displays your site title, your site description and then your header image like you see in the following screenshot :

Its a very simple solution written in response to a members question :

Could you please write the code if you want both the title and the site-description above the logo?

Responsive Test

Shows the full width header image displayed after the site title and tagline reduce in size on smaller screens.

Simple Code Installation

There’s 3 steps :

Step 1 : Add the PHP code to the end of your child themes functions file.

Step 2 : Upload an image named header.png to your child themes images folder.

Step 3 : Add the CSS to the end of your child themes style.css file and clear caching.

Tested using the Genesis Sample child theme by StudioPress.

Yes that works fine. The only problem is that the ones that are going to use the page dont know FTP and won’t be able to change header themselves.
I however found a different solution, not absolutely clean but it works.
If I have a header 1200×300 and write the Sidetitle and Description in Header-Right it works quite well. It will stay on top of the header depending on the size of the screen and behaves quite well responsive.

So you need a solution for non coders?

Even copy and paste into functions is asking too much from them?

Oh, I can fix the functions.php before I start up the page for them. It ‘s the image that is the problem. If they want to change picture in the header they can not do it by themselves if they can not use the ordinary wordpress change header. They can not change one header.png for another header.png.
