Tag Archive Page Template To Show Full Content With No links To Single Posts

Using the WordPress Template Hierarchy, we can name a file so it loads on a specific archive page.

In this tutorial, you’ll find a template for Genesis which loads posts tagged “Quick Tips”. The template in this case is coded so it only loads a unlinked entry title and the full content regardless of the Genesis > Theme Settings > Content Archive settings.

Here’s the result :

The file is named tag-quick-tips.php however you can name it so it loads on other archives.

Template Installation

All you need to do is upload the file to the root directory of your child theme. Simple as that. Code addition/modification is included for registered users.

Tested using the Genesis Sample child theme by StudioPress however will work in any Genesis child theme.

Based on this question from a member of the Genesis community :

I’d like to create posts tagged “quick tips” that all live on a category page, showing the full text with no links to the actual posts.
