Modify Product Title On Customer Receipt Item Names Using Open POS

This code enables you to show a different item name on the customer receipt when using the Open POS plugin for WooCommerce. All other instances of the product title remain unmodified so only the customer receipt shows the custom name you enter into the custom field.

You can use the code with a WordPress custom field key order_title to input your custom product name or use the code with this plugin and this one both of which add a custom field after the Product Data fields for changing the product names on receipts.

Code Installation

There’s 2 steps :

1. Install the zip folder as a new plugin or copy and paste the PHP code to your child themes functions file or custom functionality plugin.

2. Copy and paste the code from the order_title.txt into your receipt template replacing the default code for the <%= item.name %> within the loop.

Receipt Template Modification

The download folder includes the default receipt template printed from the default register with the code installed. All you need to do is add your custom product title/item name to the custom field on the Edit Product screen.
