The template in this theme displays each entry in your front page loop with a full width background you can easily customise as shown in the following image:
The front-page.php template is included in a copy of the Genesis Sample child theme and the CSS added to one section of the style sheet so its easy to find and modify to your own preferences.
The template can be used to display the content in each entry full width for your front page, home page, blog page or posts page.
You can also add widgets before or after the loop as well as before or after each full width entry.
Post Formats
This template uses post formats to determine which the background color and styling for posts signed to different formats.
Simply create a new posts and choose which post format you want to use to style each post.
