Add Unique Featured Image For Sumome Social Sharing

The code in this tutorial enables you to upload or select from your media library, a different (2nd) featured image which is used when you share your posts to social media networks using Sumome.

The video shows you how the solution in this tutorial, enables you to upload or select from your WordPress Media Library a completely different image to whats added to the featured image meta box. This way you can use a unique image for sharing on Facebook and other social media networks rather than use your featured image on every single post.

This tutorial has ben written to answer this question from a member:

Would it work to use the image added to code a different image for social sharing? I ask because the archive image and header image should both be text-free, and the social share image will have text on it.

The code works in any theme, not just Genesis.
