WordPress Table Plugin – Creating Tables in Posts & Pages

WP Table Reloaded is the most popular table plugin for WordPress. Another option is the Websimon table plugin by Simon Rybrand which is a simple solution for creating tables in WordPress.

The Websimon table plugin for WordPress enables you to build your own tables in your WordPress dashboard and customize the tables with your own choice of styling & structure. To display the table in a post or page, simply insert the unique shortcode in your WordPress editor.

You can also add html, links and  images to your tables and style them further using custom hex color codes if needed.

How To Create a Table In WordPress

Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you’ll find a link to WebSimon Tables under the Tools tab in your WordPress admin screen.

Simply add a name, amount of rows & columns and click Add Table.

To display your table in a WordPress post or page, simply copy and paste the shortcode generated by the plugin into your WordPress editor.

Making changes to your tables structure and style is easy.

Once you click on the Edit Table Structure & Style you’ll arrive at this screen where you can edit the basic settings.

Choose a skin style from the dropdown menu to start with.

You can also customize the width of each individual column if needed.

You can also easily change the font size for headings and body text.

Custom Skin Colors

If you want to create a table using your own custom colors, firstly, enable Custom Skin under Table Settings in the Basic Settings screen.

Once you have enabled the Custom Skin, you can access the Custom Skin colors screen where you can simply change the Hex Color Codes to your own custom colors.

Other Options for Creating Tables in WordPress

Another way to create tables in WordPress is to use Microsoft Word as your WordPress editor and publish the table you create in Word to WordPress using the remote publishing feature.

Another option for creating tables in WordPress is to use the TinyMce editor plugin which offers a feature for creating tables.

    One feature which would be better if WordPress post editor get by default.I never liked the idea of being dependent on one plugin for such work which is going to be there for ever…
