This tutorial provides 2 different solutions which enable you to add a full screen width header image to the Metro Pro child theme by StudioPress.
Both solutions add the image as a background image enabling the display of site header elements like the header image and header right widget area content.

Tested using the Metro pro child theme by StudioPress. May work with or without modification in other Genesis child themes.
Method 1 – Installation #
There’s 3 steps relating to usage of the code in the download folder :
Step 1 : Copy & paste the PHP code from the functions.php file to the end of the Metro Pro child themes functions file. You can then add a image named header.png to the themes images folder.
Register or login to access the download folder :
