Genesis Timeline Template Using Custom Fields

This Genesis page template enables you to add the content for each timeline entry using custom fields.

The output the template generates is this :

timeline-fields

Simply add HTML or text to a custom field named timeline like this :

custom-fields

To add more timeline entries, simply create new custom fields using the name timeline and add content to the value field of each custom field as shown in the above image.

It’s as simple as that.

Template Installation #

  • Download the Timeline Custom Fields folder named timeline below and upload it to your child themes root directory.
  • Select the Timeline – Custom Fields template from the Page Attributes meta box on any Page Edit screen.

    Hi,

on the page: https://www.taskform.nl/opleverbon-app-voor-proteus/ i am trying to place a timeline.

i unzipped and renamed the file to timeline and placed the folder in the rootfolder of the child theme using filezilla.

In custom fields the option timeline does not appear. Neither does it help to just type it in the custom field box. What did I do wrong?

Note : The folder should be named timeline NOT timeline-fields. I have tested the code and updated the download folder.

If you want to use custom fields for the input, you will need to add them in the order you want them to output

      Otherwise

You can use this version of the template which uses WP_Query which includes a huge range of parameters like order & ordeby and date
