Modify Genesis Featured Page Widget

This code enables you to modify all the default functionality of the Genesis Featured Page widget.

Once you install the file in your child theme, you can modify the code to change the featured page widgets default output. Everything you see in the following image which outputs on the front end using the widget, can be modified :

Code Installation

Theres only 2 steps once you have access to the files in the download folder :

Step 1 : Upload the file named custom-featured-page-widget.php to your child themes root directory.

Step 2 : Copy the PHP cod from the functions.php file to the end of your child themes functions file.

You can now modify the code in the custom-featured-page-widget.php file to make changes to the default functiuonality of the Genesis Featured Page widget. Note : PHP code modification is included for registered users.
