Monochrome Pro Add Featured or Hero Image After Header On Single Pages

The code in this tutorial enables you to make any single page look the same as single posts. On top of this, you can display either the featured image or a custom image.

The video shows how you can add a featured image to display after the header in the same way the single post template is coded. You can also add a image URL to a custom field named image which replaces the featured image. If no image added, the single page template displays as it does by default.

Code Installation

There’s 2 steps :

Step 1 : From the download folder, upload the file named featured.php to the Monochrome Pro themes root directory. You can select the template named Featured on any single page edit screen. If you want to load the template on all single pages, paste this code at the end of the Monochrome Pro themes functions.php file.

Step 2 : From the download folder, copy and paste the CSS from the style.css file to the end of the Monochrome Pro themes style.css file and clear caching.
