Show Author Avatar Inline With 2 Lines Of Post Info In Genesis

The code snippets in this download folder enable you to display the author avatar inline with your custom post info as well as display the occupation of the author like this :

1. The 1st code snippet adds a custom field to the Users > Your Profile > Profile Contact Info like this :

  


2. The 2nd snippet creates a custom shortcode for the author occupation.
3. The 3rd snippet hooks in the author avatar in the entry header.
4. The 4th snippet filters the default post info and displays the original post date or modified date if the post has been updated.

Shows the author avatar displaying inline with the post info and the author occupation/title underneath.

Tested using the Eleven40 Pro child theme by StudioPress however will work in any Genesis child theme.

Installation Steps

There’s 2 steps :

# Step 1 – Copy & paste all the PHP code from the functions.php file to the end of your child themes functions file.

# Step 2 – Copy & paste the CSS rules from the style.css file to the end of your child themes style sheet and clear caching.
