Display Post Modified Date If Updated Otherwise Display The Original Post Date In Genesis

The code in this download folder enables you to display the post modified date if the post has been updated otherwise, the original date is shown.

Demo Video

Shows the post date in the entry header on single posts replaced by the modified date if the post has been updated.

Tested using the Eleven40 Pro child theme by StudioPress however will work in any Genesis child theme without modification.

Installation Steps

There’s 2 steps :

# Step 1 – Copy & paste the PHP code from the functions.php file ( without the opening PHP tag ) to the end of your child themes functions file.

# Step 2 – Click the Update button on the Edit Post screen to see the date change from the original post date to the post modified date as seen in the demo video.
