Using Google To Deliver Your Domains E-Mail When Your Web Host Doesn’t Host Email

If you use WPEngine’s servers to host your website, you will need to find a host for your email. The reason for this is WPEngine don’t host email however they do offer email recommendations.

You could use your domain manager to host your email if you don’t mind paying for the service.

Another way to make sure you get your domains email delivered, is to rout your incoming messages to your gmail account using Google’s Apps mail servers.

It might sound complicated however its very simple to setup, especially if Godaddy manage your domain.

Google Apps offers a free Godaddy configuration tool which will automatically setup your domains MX records so your email gets sent to your gmail account. From there you can also configure your email client, like Outlook, to receive and send email using your gmail account.

If you’re not using Godaddy, you’ll find specific MX records for a large range of different domain registrars.

Creating MX Records Manually

Login to your domain managers control panel and select your domain and click it.

Other E-Mail Routing Delivery Solutions

You can also use Google Apps for email delivery if your host does provide email hosting by using the Advanced file zone editor which is normally located in cPanel.

You cannot route your domains email from your domain manager if your site is hosted away from your domain manager. You’ll need to setup the MX records at your web host.

Another solution if your web host don’t host email is to purchase email hosting from your domain manager and use that for your email or then route your domains email using Google Apps email servers to your Gmail account.
